League of Legends Everfrost guide

Why Everfrost is the best item if you’re a CC heavy champion

Everfrost is the next new Mythic item any Crowd Control champion may want to look into buying. It slows enemies down and roots them for ages. Additionally, it throws in some extra perks, such as extra AP, health, and mana. While it is expensive, it’s not a bad choice as a first full item. Here’s a guide on how and when to use Everfrost in League of Legends.

Should I pick Everfrost over other items?

Besides this item being incredibly useful, it will help you secure your kill faster than you can say “Everfrost.” If you’re a CC-focused champion, you’ll find the effects of this item applies to any situation. Whether it be during team fights or getting away from chasing enemies, you’re in for a treat. Morgana mains may especially benefit from this item as they can root, stun, and damage their enemy all in a matter of seconds.

Not only does it slow your enemies, but if you activate Everfrost before your stun, then you have a better chance at damaging their health and eventually killing them with ease.

This item is highly reliable on CC, and does have a short-range. Ultimately, if you choose to go with this expensive item, you should know that you’ll most likely get real close to your enemies. In return, you’ll get some great self-peel as well as counter-dive opportunities. If you’re looking for an item that does a bit more damage with better Ability Haste, then you may want to check out Liandry’s Anguish. Looking for some magic penetration? Luden’s Tempest may be the second choice.

All in all, go with Everfrost if you’re looking to become a threat to your lane. No one wants to be rooted for several hours, and if you know how to use the item right then, you’re likely to win a fight. Plus, an extra 600 mana sounds pretty good, especially if you’re an AP champion with a high mana cost.
