This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The new challenges Fortnite Season 8 week 7 have leaked early. Through data mining of the v8.30 update files, we have access to all seven of the challenges. Coming to the game at 10 A.M. (Eastern) Thursday morning, this week’s tasks don’t pose much of a challenge.

Unlike previous installments, the challenges this time around aren’t extremely difficult. Epic Games is likely giving players a break to help them unlock the Discovery Skin next week. Keep in mind that you need to complete every challenge for eight weeks total to unlock it. If you need some extra help in completing your challenges, check out our previous guides.

As always, take these with a grain of salt. Even though in previous weeks the data-mined information has been accurate, Epic Games can still change their minds.

So, with that in mind, here are the Season 8 Week 7 challenges in Fortnite:

  • Damage opposing players while riding a zip line
  • Get eliminations at two named locations
  • Open chests and two named locations
  • Visit pirate camps in a single match
  • Damage opposing players with the pickaxe
  • Visit sets of two named location
  • Damage opposing players from above

One thing to note is the challenges that don’t specify a named location are just placeholders. They will be replaced by real in-game locations once they have been data-mined.

As you can see, most of these challenges can be done relatively easily. Three to four of them can be completed by simply landing at certain locations, searching a chest, and picking up an elimination or two.

However, damaging opponents on a zip line and from above will be difficult. One solid strategy would be to land at Tilted Towers, get high ground, and damage opponents from there. Then from there, rotate to the zip line directly east and wait for enemies there. While it’s not concrete, it’s a great way to do both challenges simultaneously and knock them out quickly.

Although this week’s challenges aren’t particularly difficult, some will take time to do. So stay diligent and keep thinking about the Discovery Skin that becomes available next week.

That’s it for this week’s challenges. Make sure to stay tuned to Daily Esports for future Battle Pass guides and Fortnite news.
