Team 1 of the Summer Stars includes 14 players from different countries, with Messi and Ronaldo being the highest rated. Meanwhile, Romero is the lowest-ranked summer star.

  •  Lionel Messi (FW, Argentina) -99
  • Cristiano Ronaldo (ST, Portugal)-99
  • Kevin De Bruyne (RF, Belgium)-98
  • Luka Modric (CM, Croatia)-97
  • Richarlison (ST, Brazil) -96
  • Manuel Locatelli (CM, Italy)-95
  • Aymeric Laporte (CB, Spain)-95
  • Alexander Isak (ST, Sweden) – 94
  • Kalvin Phillips (CM, England)- 94
  • Denzel Dumfries (RWB, Netherlands)-94
  • Leonardo Spinazzola (LB, Italy)-93
  • Andreas Christensen (CB, Denmark)-93
  • Claudio Bravo (GK, Chile)-92
  • Oscar Romero (LM, Paraguay) -91

Best cards overall

From the Summer Star items revealed, Ronaldo and Messi are definitely the biggest winners overall. Even though Portugal exited the EURO in the round of 16, Ronaldo currently remains the tournament’s top scorer. Meanwhile, Messi has led his team to the Copa America quarter finals.

Moreover, given that these are permanent upgrades, players will be eager to pack these cards. Both Ronaldo and Messi have almost the same attributes and abilities with little differences in passing, physicality and dribbling. Additionally, Richarlison and Modric are also part of the best items overall. Aside from those mentioned, Phillips could prove quite useful. With 87 in pace and 92 in defense ability, having summer star Kalvin Phillips in DM definitely strengthens a team.

The absence of Neymar in Summer Stars came as a surprise to many players. However, the Brazilian star may feature in the second team. EA will most likely release Team 2 on July 9 as the Festival of Futball promo ends on July 16.
