Players from Australia and New Zealand have new chance to make it to represent their country

The competition to find Australia and New Zealand’s best FIFA 22 player will run for four days, between March 29 and April 6. These qualifiers will also be considering players for spots in the A-League clubs — esports teams parallel to Australia and New Zealand’s professional soccer clubs. There are currently 12 clubs in the Isuzu UTE A-League and ten, this season, in the Liberty A-League. There’s also a commitment to another two more next year.

In this way, the E-League competition is providing a pathway for players into the pro scene. Not only are their spots up for grabs in A-League teams, for the first time ever, the E-League competition is an Official League Qualifying Partner of EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series. The top two players from the E-League final will go on to compete in an A-League club and represent ANZ at the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs.

Eligibility and how to compete

The tournament is open to all Australia and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, 16 years of age or older. Players can register for the competition directly on their PS4 consoles. To do so, log into your PlayStation, head to the “Events” menu and select “Tournaments.” Once registered, players need to link their ESL account and PlayStation Network account.
