FIFA 19 Team of the Week 30: Who’s in and who’s out

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

With the football season nearing to a close this year, EA has as expected provided some brilliant in-form players. The final stages are as heated as ever and the performances of key players only seem to be improving. This means that the latest FIFA 19 Team of the Week features some stunning players.

Three English Premier League players make an appearance, but they’re overshadowed by a Bayern Munich forward being given a remarkable 94 overall card.

Robert Lewandowski is without a doubt the star name in the team; his 94 rating makes him one of the greatest players in FIFA 19. The problem with him previously was that his pace let him down. However, this has been changed with this card to 85, meaning he is suddenly top-tier. He has been awarded a shooting stat of 93 and dribbling of 92, becoming a player incredibly difficult to stop.

Premier League players

Topping the Premier League’s players is Spurs’ Heung Min Son. He plays in the middle of the pack and his performances in real life have been rewarded. His card has no real weaknesses for an attacking player and is incredibly well-rounded.

The other stars are Jamie Vardy and Phil Jagielka. Vardy’s pace and his ability to finish once he gets into a scoring position will make him a popular pick. Jagielka also has no real weaknesses, starring in the Team of the Week after his winner against Arsenal at the weekend.

Pablo Sarabia, who plays for Sevilla, will be a solid selection to have on the wing. Anderson Talisca would also feature well in any Brazil-themed squad.

The only player who might struggle to fit into your team is Josip Iličić. While a good striker in himself, he may be better suited to playing a deeper role in your team. All in all, the Team of the Week is a very good one if you’re after Premier League players. If you’re after one of the best strikers in the game, then Lewandowski is your perfect choice too.

FIFA 19‘s Team of the Week is available in packs right now and will be available until 18:00 BST on April 17.
