This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

FaZe Clan announced on Sunday, July 7, 2019 that they signed Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson. Mongraal is one of the top Fortnite players. He double qualified for the World Cup Final. Before joining FaZe Clan, Mongraal was a member of Team Secret. His previous team wished him well as he left. The move was quite surprising as the World Cup is just a few weeks away. FaZe continues to make impressive signings after the fall out with Turner “Tfue” Tenney. Now, they boast one of the most impressive Fortnite rosters.

A young legend

When he signed with Team Secret in April of 2018, Mongraal became the youngest professional Fortnite player. He became an online legend within the community. Mongraal posted crazy trick shots, high-kill wins, and most notably edit plays. He helped revolutionize Fortnite through the editing and building techniques he uses. Although he did not create the techniques, Mongraal perfected them. His ability to tunnel and make double edits is unmatched.

The next challenge for Mongraal is the Fortnite World Cup. Epic Games conducted 10 weeks of online opens to narrow down the playing field for a LAN tournament. Now, fewer than 200 players have qualified to play in New York City on July 26-28. Mongraal will compete in the Solo competition and Duos with his partner Dmitri “Mitr0” Van de Vrie. The two are considered among the favorites for the event.

Mongraal continues to grow his online presence and following. Not only is he a professional player, but also a content creator. He streams regularly on Twitch and produces videos for YouTube. Mongraal has quickly grown over one million subscribers on YouTube and many more on Twitch. The move to FaZe Clan should only help support his brand growth. FaZe regularly produces content across various games.

The community reacts to Mongraal joining FaZe Clan
