Gamescom Opening Night Live had plenty of announcements, including one we knew was going to happen—Fall Guys Season 2. That said, however, we didn’t know the theme for the season until now. Get ready to don your little guy in shining armor, wizard hats, and dragon costumes, because Fall Guys is going medieval on everyone.

According to the press release, “Fall Guys Season 2 will bring the dragon fire with feudal fortresses, knockout knights, and pugilistic paladins among new additions coming this October. A full season of new costumes, emotes, and more will reward players as they lay siege to the Middle Ages.”

It’s going medieval on your a**

The new game rounds will include giant drawbridges, swinging axes, and “movable sea drabs.” Every round presents very clear inspiration from medieval times (the era, not the restaurant), and according to the video above, the developers designed each round to be like a medieval quest.

The teaser shows plenty of adorable costumes and samples of medieval decor in the rounds. While it is just a teaser, the video seems to show everything anyway. Perhaps there is more to unveil, but we won’t know until it gets closer to launch, which will be in October. Mediatonic has not provided a definitive date in October as of yet.

Fall Guys hit the scene on August 3, just three weeks ago, and it soared to incredible popularity heights. It’s already the most-watched game on Twitch, and it’s the most-downloaded game on PlayStation Plus. You know this game has “made it,” simply because of the number of hackers that have popped up on a regular basis.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is currently available on Steam and PlayStation for $19.99. PlayStation Plus members can download the game for free until September. Better hop on board quickly before it falls out of the Instant Game Collection.
