Everything to know about the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship

The live broadcast will begin at 1 p.m. ET

Season 3 of the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship will kick off this Friday, with teams competing for weekly prize pools of $10,000 per region. Their ultimate goal will be to reach the global finals, where the prize pool reaches $700,000.

Players from the European and North American regions will also fight for points under the double elimination and best-of-five format, according to the announcement. The top eight regional teams with the most points will head into the Circuit, which will be followed by the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Global Finals.

While the first week of matches will run between March 18-20, the next cup will happen between March 25-26. The third and fourth weekly cups will take place between April 1-3 and April 8-10, respectively.

As for the casters, the tournaments will see the return of Gillian “Eiya” Long, Sid “Supatease” Compston, Elliott “Venruki” Venczel and Mohamed “Ziqo” Beshir.

Fans and supporters can catch all of the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship action over on YouTube. Each week, the live broadcast will begin at 1 p.m. ET.

Adrian “Healingstat” Archer-Lock, the associate product manager of WoW Esports, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming season alongside the announcement.

“These cups are especially exciting,” Healingstat said. “Teams have been getting better and better with more orgs entering the space, ensuring the competition has never been higher in the history of AWC.”

While fans of the game anticipate the Arena World Championship, they can also look forward to the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion reveal set for April 19. This will be followed by a mobile game reveal in May.

Those who want to become the best dungeon-runners in the Mythic Dungeon International tournament can also still sign up through GameBattles by March 28.
