The VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 North America Last Chance Qualifiers are coming soon, with eight teams fighting for the final NA spot at Champions. This tournament includes the eight teams that are third to 10th in NA. The first two spots for NA at Champions are Stage 1 Masters champions OpTic Gaming and NA Stage 2 Challengers winners XSET. XSET’s qualification to Champions was secured in that recent regional victory, just knocking The Guard out from that second spot.

The teams competing in the NA LCQ
All the teams competing in the NA LCQ are in descending order from their seeding.
- The Guard
- FaZe Clan
- NRG
- Shopify Rebellion (formerly Luminosity Gaming)
- Cloud9
- 100 Thieves
- Evil Geniuses
- Sentinels
There are some intriguing storylines in this LCQ beyond the Champions berth. First, one of the best teams in VALORANT for 2021 is the 10th seed in NA. Sentinels barely squeaked into the LCQ to keep their hopes alive for Champions. Other teams such as Cloud9 and The Guard had early success but couldn’t duplicate it in Stage 2. Then, we have teams that didn’t do well in Stage 1 but picked it up, including 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, NRG and Evil Geniuses.
The bracket for the NA LCQ
The tournament is a double-elimination bracket, with the regional seeding deciding the starting matches. So, to begin, we have the third seed The Guard versus the 10-seed Sentinels, the new blood vs. the old blood for the first match of the LCQ. The other matchups are Shopify Rebellion vs. Cloud9, then NRG vs. 100 Thieves and lastly FaZe Clan vs. Evil Geniuses.
After that, the winners will face each other in the upper bracket while the losers square off in the lower bracket. Eventually, two teams will face each other in the grand final, and whoever wins makes it to Istanbul for Champions.
The VCT 2022 NA LCQ begins at 4 p.m. ET on Aug. 4 with The Guard vs. Sentinels. FaZe take on Evil Geniuses at 7 p.m. ET on the same day. Then, on Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. ET, we have NRG vs. 100 Thieves, and at 7 p.m. is Shopify Rebellions vs. Cloud9. All of this will be streamed on the VALORANT YouTube and Twitch channels.
