Everything new in Wuthering Waves version 1.3

Kuro Games has revealed Wuthering Waves version 1.3, and here is everything that players can expect from the update.

In the official livestream for the update that took place on September 20, Kuro Games announced that Wuthering Waves version 1.2 will release on September 29 (PT).

Here is everything coming to Wuthering Waves in version 1.3

The open-world action RPG’s main highlight for the upcoming version is the Black Shores, which is a new area, and two new characters. Let’s take a look at all the new additions in this update.

New 5-star Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper is a 5-star Spectro Rectifier character announced for Wuthering Waves version 1.3. She is a support character who can even transform into a butterfly while traversing.

New 4-star Youhu

Youhu is a 4-star Glacio Gauntlet character, debuting in this patch. Her entire theme is that she deals with antiques, and as such, her role changes depending on what she pulls out of her bag. Youhu also has a quick-time mechanic to her kit, which I think is a pretty interesting touch.  

The Black Shores in Wuthering Waves 1.3

The Rover will make its way to the Black Shores in Wuthering Waves version 1.3, which is a rumored island that is hidden away in the sea, hence the name.

There are two areas to this island. The first is called The Black Shores Archipelago, which serves as the upper level area. The area is packed with dense fog and is dangerous.

The lower level of the Black Shores is Tethys’ Deep. Kuro Games describes it as “a place where discordant notes drift across the night sky” and where “the torches that once illuminated the stars now burn them, producing crimson flames of destruction.”

Other new content

Here is the rest of the new stuff you can look forward to in Wuthering Waves version 1.2:

• Chapter 1 Act 8: The main story of Wuthering Waves will see “a blue figure” guide the Rover through the Black Shores, which is referring to the Shorekeeper.
• Small Wooly, Big adventures: This Companion Quest sees the Rover makes it to the Jinzhou city after getting a message from Yangyang which states that the Zhihua (Flower Keeper) can be found at Guixu Port. Here, the Rover will meet Encore, who asks them to join her and Small Wooly for an adventure.
• Stellar Symphony and the Deep Sky Blazer Series: New five-star weapons will be joining Wuthering Waves 1.3.
• Portal Puzzles: Wuthering Waves version 1.3 will add new underground portal puzzles which let you teleport to and from these areas.
• Aetherfin: This is a life form found in the Black Shores, which you can collect.
• Fallacy of No Return: A new Echo that “patrols the boundary between the real and data spaces.”
