International esports tournament series EPICENTER has announced a new partnership with Taiwan-based ASUS Republic of Gamers. The gaming hardware brand will see its products being used by teams at the ongoing EPICENTER Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) 2019 event. This includes matches at Moscow’s Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center during the playoffs December 21 – 22.
ASUS Republic of Gamers
“We’re excited about this new partnership with EPICENTER. Supporting gaming and esports events is our long-standing tradition,” said Kirill Pogorelov, Head of Public Relations at ASUS Republic of Gamers. “We will supply the participants of the event with the best PCs and monitors as a part of our partnership with Epic Esports Events.”
The deal will have brand activations set up at the tournament venue. Fans will be able to test out the company’s line of products, which include the Zephyrus S GX502, Strix III G531, G731, and the newly released ROG Phone II. The analytics team and production staff at the event will be provided with TOG Strix G GL731 gaming laptops through the partnership agreement, as well.
EPICENTER 2019 partnership
“It would be impossible to host events of such scale as EPICENTER without the cutting-edge hardware,” added Sergey Barkhudarya, Commercial Director at ESforce Holding. “We welcome ASUS as our partners and we’re ready to establish a new connection channel with the audience.”
The EPICENTER 2019 series group stage takes place December 17 – 19, with the playoffs and finals December 21 – 22. It sees eight teams competing in two groups with a double-elimination format. Group A consists of Natus Vincere, Team Vitality, Heroic, and EHOME. Group B includes teams Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses, forZe, and mousesports.
The top three CSGO teams will advance to the playoffs with a single-elimination bracket, where the placement determines the seeding. The event will have a $500,000 prize pool up for grabs, with half of it going to the first-place team.
