Epic Games reveals new drops for watching FNCS

A few rewards are available to those who tune in

FNCS Chapter 3 Season 3 is the newest iteration of the most competitive Fortnite tournament of the year. This three-day event has a prize pool of $3 million along with the Axe of Champions, an in-game pickaxe only given out to the winners. While the players have the most on the line, viewers can also earn some rewards of their own just by watching FNCS.

The action begins July 10 and continues on July 15 and 17 for the qualifiers. The semifinals take place on July 22-24 and the finals on Aug. 13-14. During that time, viewers can earn up to four drops if they tune in and watch FNCS for a certain amount of time.

These drops can be earned by tuning into the action on watch.fortnite.com, Twitch, YouTube or in Legends Landing. Legends Landing is an in-game location in Fortnite that players can use to watch the English version of the broadcast. Players can access this location with the code (3303-7480-5925) or by looking for it in the Discovery tab.

Wherever players choose to watch the action unfold, they need to make sure their Epic Games account is linked. If players go to watch.fortnite.com, this will be done automatically before watching. However, players on Twitch will need to go to the Linked Accounts page and sign in to both Twitch and Epic Games to link their accounts.

Once players’ accounts are linked together, they can begin earning drops for watching FNCS. There are four drops in total, which are the following:

  • Seeker’s Strike Loading Screen
  • King and Champion Spray
  • Peaceful Emoji
  • Champion’s Honor Backbling

Epic Games clarified that these rewards could enter the Fortnite Item Shop at a future date, so players aren’t totally out of luck if they can’t catch FNCS this time around. Players can catch the start of FNCS on July 10 and the end of it on Aug. 14.
