What to expect from Fortnite Rift Tour
This is not the first time that Epic Games has done a Fortnite collaboration of this kind. The 2020 Travis Scott event was extremely successful, drawing in over 27 million players. If the new Rift Tour is anything like this performance, players can expect the entire landscape of the game to be shifted to accommodate the concert.
Starting on July 29, Fortnite players can unlock in-game rewards related to the Rift Tour event. The Before the Tour Rewards include a custom Cosmic Cuddles loading screen (art by Delicious Design League), Rift-sterpiece Spray and a Cloudy Kitty emoticon.
Due to the fact that the Fortnite Rift Tour experience spans five different showtimes over three days, Epic Games added a Rift Tour tab to the game menu. This shows every showtime that has been set for the Rift Tour event.
The event times for various time zones are as follows:
The Americas – Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. EST
Global – Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. EST
Asia and Oceania – Aug. 8 at 12 a.m. EST
Europe and Middle East – Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. EST
The Americas Encore – Aug. 8 6 at p.m. EST
Furthermore, it has been rumored that the featured artist will be either Ariana Grande or Lady Gaga. According to a report by Eurogamer during the Epic Games vs. Apple trial, confidential court documents showed that an event with Ariana Grande was set for October of 2021. Could she possibly be the artist showing up for this Rift Tour?
Epic Games stated that more information on the event will be revealed on Aug. 2.
