After a weekend of matches, Echo and Incarnation earned a place in the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Global Finals. The two teams will join Complexity, Obey Alliance, Team Name, Perplexed and Aster.Y between Oct. 29-31 where they will duke it out for a prize pool of $300,000 at the tournament.
Echo versus Incarnation
Echo and Incarnation started off strong in the upper bracket, with both teams defeating their opponents 2-0 in their Round 1 matches. Both teams continued this win streak in the quarterfinal games, with Echo going 2-0 against Reload Esports and Incarnation claiming a 2-0 victory over Omega Pump.
When it came down to the semifinal, however, Incarnation bested Echo 2-0. This pushed Echo into the elimination bracket, where they fought Reload Esports. With a score of 2-0 against the opposing team, Echo went into the final for a rematch against Incarnation.
World of Warcraft MDI Group C final
During the final, the teams raced against each other in the Theater of Pain dungeon. Both teams were neck and neck, but Echo earned the clutch win. The team defeated Mordretha, the Endless Empress, first with a time of 18:50.
Next, the teams battled against time in the Mists of Tirna Scithe dungeon. Incarnation evened up the score with a completion time of 16:16. As for the match point within Sanguine Depths, it went to Incarnation with a time of 16:49.
Since Echo and Incarnation finished as the top two teams in the Group C matches, they both earned a place in the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International Global Finals.
The Last Stand Tournament
The winners of the Last Stand Tournament will join Echo, Incarnation, Complexity, Obey Alliance, Team Name, Perplexed and Aster.Y in the Global Finals as well.
Between Oct. 1-3, the top six teams from the open registration Time Trials will get 15 hours to push keys. The team with the best score will secure a spot in the Global Finals.
