After a four-year gap without any in-person gatherings, E3 will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center in California next year. In addition, it will be the first E3 of any kind since the online-only broadcast in 2021, as the Entertainment Software Association previously canceled this year’s event in its entirety.

The E3 2023 dates will bring together a mix of digital presentations and in-person displays as in years past. ReedPop’s press release promises “titanic AAA reveals, earth-shaking world premieres, and exclusive access to the future of video games.”

More about the E3 2023 dates

Next year’s E3 will mark the beginning of a collaboration between ReedPop and the ESA. In the past, ReedPop has produced events like PAX, New York Comic Con and the Star Wars Celebration.

“For years, we’ve listened, heard, and studied the global gaming community’s feedback,” said Kyle Marsden-Kish, ReedPop’s global vice president of gaming. “E3 2023 will be recognizably epic—a return to form that honors what’s always worked—while reshaping what didn’t and setting a new benchmark for video game expos in 2023 and beyond.”

When the ESA announced the cancellation of the E3 2022 digital event, it also announced that preparation for next year’s event had already begun. Fans can expect information about participating companies, event schedules and more to come from the ESA as the E3 2023 dates get closer.

“The past three years have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event,” ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis said. “ReedPop brings world-class talent and a keen understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come.”
