D’Vorah revealed for Mortal Kombat 11

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

After Kabal was revealed during today’s Kombat Kast, we got a sneak peek of the next character to be added to the roster. It is none other than everyone’s favorite bug lady, D’Vorah, who is returning from her debut in Mortal Kombat X. IGN shared a first look of how she’ll be in Mortal Kombat 11:

D’vorah has gone through a drastic change since the last time we saw her, losing her trademark hood and now instead looking like a rejected monster design from the Devil May Cry reboot.

Remember this ugly mess from DmC?

Twitter isn’t happy about “this one’s” new look either.

Also some fans are a little, well, surprised at D’Vorah’s lack of attire.

It is important to note though that D’Vorah is not the new female character that was slated to appear as previously teased. See the news from the man himself, Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat:

It is most likely that this new female character will be revealed during the next Kombat Kast. Speculation seems to point at the new femme fatale being Mileena, Jade, or Kitana. Kitana is confirmed to be in the story mode of the game, as she and Liu Kang rule NetherRealm as the Dark Empress and Emperor, but it remains to be seen if she will be playable. But while Mileena may have met her end at the hands of D’Vorah in Mortal Kombat X, 11‘s time travel shenanigans mean it is open season for any character (and any version of any character) to enter the game.

Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Shaggy has been officially unconfirmed as a guest character for the game, through a Q&A panel during today’s Kast.

But, apparently, a new challenger has entered the ring to be the meme contender for Mortal Kombat 11

C’mon, Ed, make it happen. You know you want to…
