After reports of leaving Fnatic surfaced, Domagoj “Doma” Fancev has officially joined European team TENSTAR for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 season.
Doma performed well at the start of 2021, reaching the VCT Stage 2 Masters finals in Reykjavík, Iceland with Fnatic. However, he moved to the inactive roster in mid-December 2021. Now, Doma is active again, playing for an opposing European VALORANT team in the upcoming VCT Challengers qualifiers.

Doma’s path to TENSTAR
Doma joined many esports players moving from big games to VALORANT by coming from Fortnite. After starting on SUMN FC, he joined Fnatic after the organization signed the team. With his skills on agents such as Skye, Sage and more, he helped Fnatic win EU Stage 2 Challengers 2 in 2021. That form continued into Stage 2 Masters: Reykjavík, where Fnatic got to face international opposition. They thrived in that environment, reaching the finals before losing to the NA powerhouse Sentinels.
By the end of 2021, though, it turned out that Stage 2 Masters was Fnatic’s peak for the year. They fought hard against other teams in Europe and internationally but never reached the same highs as before. Fnatic’s season ended with an upset quarterfinal loss to KRÜ Esports, who also upset Sentinels in their path to the semifinals. Not too long after that loss, two days after Acend won Champions, Doma moved to the inactive roster.
TENSTAR’s future
Despite TENSTAR’s competitiveness within Europe, getting an experienced player like Doma is a big acquisition. His skills, flexibility on agents of multiple roles and LAN experience improve TENSTAR’s starting roster. Aside from two newly acquired players, TENSTAR’s current squad is the same roster Doma and Fnatic eliminated at EU Stage 3 Challengers 2 in 2021. Now, he will have to work with these players try and climb back to his previous success with Fnatic.
