While Christmas may be over, Winterfest in Fortnite still has around a week left. This means that seven or so more challenges are available for players to complete for winter rewards. We’ve covered a majority of the challenges, so make sure to check those out if you haven’t done any. For today, day 10, Epic Games has players searching the map for lumps of coal. Once you have the coal, however, you must then deal damage with the coal. Here’s where to find the coal and how to deal damage with the resource.
Finding the lumps of coal
In order to locate the lumps of coal, players must search for specific objects around the map. It only appears in Ice Boxes and in Presents, which can be found in chests or as floor loot.
For the Ice Boxes, you want to hold the interact button to receive a piece of coal. For the Presents, all you have to do is get lucky and hope that a lump of it lies within it. In order to find out, equip the Present and throw it.
As for the location of the Ice Boxes, you can find them in the following locations: Dirty Docks, Weeping Woods, southwest of Weeping Woods, southeast of Lazy Lake, west of Holly Hedges, Sweaty Sands, and east of Pleasant Park (near the bridge).
Dealing damage with the coal
Coal is a throwable weapon that deals 20 damage per hit. All you have to do is hit one enemy with it, so if you are accurate, this challenge can be done in no time. However, you still need to get lucky with finding a lump of the stuff.
That’s our guide on how to deal damage with coal in Winterfest! Make sure to keep up with Daily Esports for future Fortnite guides.
