Dayton Hospital Exploration guide — Once Human

Dayton Hospital can be a pretty intimidating exploration when you’re barely getting started with the game. There’s also a really weird quest which I’ll also cover here. If you’re having any trouble finding the crates, keep on reading.

The Quest at Dayton Hospital in Once Human

The first thing you’ll want to do is go to the East entrance to the area, where you’ll find a blue marker on your mini map, indicating a side quest. Follow the market to find a wounded man inside a small building and talk to him, grab the quest and then enter the hospital.

This will result in a puzzle later on, but it’s quite easy and I’ll walk you through that as well.

Where are the Weapons and Armor Crates at Dayton Hospital in Once Human?

These aren’t too hard to find. The first one is really easy — it’s right out in the open near the broken statue and close to the eastern entrance where you got the quest. You’ll find it in front of the big grey building that looks like an L on your mini map, shown in the screenshot below.

The next crate I managed to find was in the hospital itself. Enter the hospital and go up the stairs to the first floor, then make your way to the eastern side of the building. Here, you’ll find a set of double doors with an exit sign above them. Head out through those doors and follow the balcony. In that room you’ll find another gear crate.

Where is the Mystical Crate at Dayton Hospital in Once Human

The Mystical Crate is also in the hospital, all the way on the roof. There are two sets of stairs leading up, when one is blocked, the other is usually open, so just keep making your way up. You’ll eventually end up on the roof. Just take a right here and the Mystical Crate is on your right hand side in front of the broken helipad.

Now all you have to do is activate the Rift Anchor which is always displayed on your mini map, and you’re done with the exploration. But there’s still that weird quest…

To finish the quest, in which you get some nice extra rewards (and it’s pretty easy), You’ll need to go back to the first floor, but this time, you’ll navigate to the Western side of the building, where you’ll find a room with a seemingly injured lady.

Spoiler alert, she’s not just injured…

Anyway, read the old note, and then head to the back of the room where you’ll find some medicine. Interact with it, and things get weird.

You’ll run into a deviation posing as a wheelchair. Follow it, and you’ll find yourself in the puzzle room. If you want to give it a shot yourself, stop here, and come back if you need to. The solution is below the next image.

The Puzzle Solution at Dayton Hospital in Once Human

How this puzzle works, is there’s a calendar on the wall. Calling the Nurse will reveal that the patient, which is you, I guess, can be discharged on 15 September. The starting date was 23 January.

Running through the door you face when you enter the room moves the day backwards by one. You’ll have to run through it 8 times in order to set the day to the 15th. Next, you’ll want to run through the door on your right to move the month by one. You’ll have to do this 8 times as well, until the month on the calendar displays 15 September.

Once you have the date set correctly, call the nurse on the phone in the room. Wait a moment, and then exit via the door that opens. Now capture the deviation that appears, and then interact with the wheelchair to leave the scene.

And that’s it, your time at Dayton Hospital has come to an end. If you have any trouble, here where to find the Mystical Crate at the Monolith of Greed. If you’re further along, here’s how to clear High Banks in Once Human (and how to deal with that oddly terrifying balloon monster).
