Epic Games has shown in the past it’s not afraid to completely destroy beloved POI locations in Fortnite. Throughout every seasonal event, there’s always at least one Fortnite location that gets left behind. Risky Reels, Anarchy Acres, and Flush Factory are just a few in the myriad of lost Fortnite POIs. However, there are a select few locations that have seen very little change. One of these few, Pleasant Park, is an extremely popular POI, but there are hints that point to the location getting ready for a big change in Season 2.
Pleasant Park on the way out?
Throughout the seasons, Pleasant Park hasn’t seen many changes. The friendly neighborhood in Fortnite is still popular even though it was a part of the first-ever map. Although, a recent change to the POI could indicate some major changes coming. After Winterfest ended, the snow that covered the map melted, returning the map to its vibrant theme. However, Pleasant Park didn’t go back to its full green shrubbery state.
Instead, the POI turned brown, which is what usually happens in real life when the snow melts. Although, Fortnite isn’t real life, as many other locations returned to their original state. Fortnite leaker @HYPEX has an image showing this change.
I noticed this in Myth's stream earlier, idk if y'all did too.. but Pleasant Park is all dusty after the snow melted.. we don't know if it's a visual glitch or we'll finally say goodbye to Pleasant Park. (thanks to @LuTrex_ for the pic) pic.twitter.com/dA73DdkvTQ

As of right now, Pleasant Park is still like this. It’s unclear if it is just Epic Games showing the snow’s effect or not. Season 2 of Fortnite is coming within the next month, and around now is when we start to receive in-game signs as to what the end-of-season event will be.
While this Pleasant Park change could be nothing, the timing of it is noteworthy. If Season 2 does in fact launch without the area, it will be the first time that the POI won’t be on the Fortnite map.
