Could Hogwarts Legacy companion book confirm the game’s release date?

The release date for Hogwarts Legacy, the newest Wizarding World title, has been hotly debated amongst fans since the dawn of 2022. The game was originally delayed with a 2022 release, but a recent leak surfaced stating the Wizarding World title would be delayed until 2023. However, Warner Bros. reaffirmed that the game would be releasing in 2022.

Similarly, a companion book called “The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy,” which centers around the making of the Hogwarts Legacy game, will release in September of 2022. Published by Insight Editions, this book is set to release one week after students return to school in the Hogwarts universe, on Sept. 6. “The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy” is authored by Jody Revenson, who also wrote “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Movie Magic.” Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed whether the release date of the book and Hogwarts Legacy are related.

‘The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy’

While nothing is set in stone, fans guessed that Hogwarts Legacy would release in September of 2022 and have planned a global event called “Back to Hogwarts.” This event is being put on in order to celebrate when students go back to school to start a new term in the Wizarding World. It would make sense for the game’s developer, Avalanche Software, to release a game that centers around the player being a new student at Hogwarts near this date.

Perhaps the PlayStation State of Play, in a few weeks, will provide a concrete release date for the game along with a trailer. Leakers have speculated that, at least, a trailer showing off the game’s skills and abilities will be present at the event. Hopefully, at the end of the supposed trailer, a release date will be shown.
