Complexity Gaming announced the signing of LA Galaxy soccer player Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez to Complexity Stars on Wednesday. The 33-year-old striker began his career in Mexico before moving to several clubs across Europe. Moreover, he currently sits at the top of Mexico’s goalscorer charts with 52 goals in 109 appearances.

Furthermore, Complexity Stars are the first-ever gaming division for celebrities and professional athletes launched by Complexity Gaming in 2021. The division is home to the likes of NBA champion J.R Smith and five-time UFC title winner Max Holloway.

“Complexity Stars has given athletes a platform to connect with fans in new ways,” Duane “Zeno” Jackson, Head of Complexity Stars said. “And now Chicharito will be able to leverage the program to captivate the next generation of fans where they’re consuming content.”

Just like others, Chicharito will rely on Complexity’s expertise to elevate him and expand his reach in a digital environment. To achieve this, he will collaborate with Complexity’s diverse team to create experiences for fans around the world. Moreover, with more than 14.3 million social media followers, Chicharito will increase Complexity Gaming’s audience. The Complexity Star will also participate in future events and collaborations with other pro athletes and creators.

Additionally, as the first soccer player to join Complexity Stars, he will create real-life and virtual pitch experiences for fans. Chicharito’s signing also shows commitment to Spanish-speaking fans. which Complexity state accounts for nearly 30% of their total fan base.
