Brookham Exploration Guide — Once Human

Brookham is one of the early explorations in Once Human, and it’s the first introduction into how difficult this game can be. There’s a tough boss fight (optional), and some of the chests are pretty hard to find. Particularly the last weapon crate in Brookham, but let’s start with the Mystical Crate first.

The Mystical Crate in Brookham is, thankfully, quite easy to find. It’s on the first floor of the church. Simply enter the church through the main doors and in the main assembly hall, you’ll find the Mystical Crate sitting near the back of the room, behind the pulpit. Which is the thing where the preacher stands when delivering his sermon.

Do be careful as you approach the church, as there’s a strong elite enemy outside near the main entrance. He wanders a bit, and you can get past him, but it’s a pretty fun fight if you’re up for it. If you are going back to Brookham from a later area, then it’s just an easy fight though.

The first and probably toughest crate to find is the weapon crate at Brookham. You can find it on the roof of the church. Head for the eastern side of the church, near the back on the outside. There, you’ll find a ladder leading up to the roof.

Now just keep heading to the top of the roof, and then go to the steeple. Here’s where you’ll find your first weapon crate at Brookham.

The next crate you’ll find is in the little square of houses just to the north of the church. You’ll find it behind one of the houses in the yard.

If you end up using the above map, simply head to the location marked and hit Q. This will direct you as to where exactly the crate is (there will be a glow on your screen, marking the location). Some of them are on the first floor of buildings, others are on the roof, but you’ll find them all pretty easily using Space Time.

There is one additional special crate at Brookham — the hidden Morphic Crate, which you can find on top of a house at the marked location below.

Simply head to the roof and hit Q to activate Space Time to reveal this secret crate. Defeat the creature, and its contents become yours.

And that’s all there is to Brookham. We also have a short and to-the-point power generation guide for Once Human if you’re interested. Enjoy the grind!
