Best ways to get Fiber in Palworld

Fiber is immensely important in Palworld's early game, and we know the easiest way for you to get your hands on it.

In the early stages of your Palworld adventure, one of the first things you’ll need to learn how to get is Fiber. Here are all the ways you can get your hands on this important substance.

Palworld definitely has a learning curve, as when you first arrive in the new world, you have nothing to your name. Through time, you’ll learn how this strange new environment works, how to collect and use Pals, and much more.

Early on though, you’ll need to know how to get fiber if you want to craft items. Unfortunately, this information isn’t just given to you, so you’ll need to figure it out—or read this guide.

Easiest way to get Fiber in Palworld: Chop down trees

The easiest way to get Fiber in Palworld is to start chopping down trees. I know it’s not the most glamorous way to do it, but every time you start swinging at a tree, you are guaranteed to get Fiber in your inventory.

I would recommend using some of your Pals for this task too. Pals with the Lumbering Work Skill can go and gather wood and Fiber for you, saving you some time and effort. This is by far the easiest and best way to get Fiber.

Hunt Pals

If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt, then there are certain Pals who drop Fiber if you successfully take them out.

Palworld monsters like Hangyu and Hootcrates will drop them for you, so this is an option. In the end, though, I can’t say I would recommend making this your only way to get Fiber. You are relying on them appearing whenever you need them, or spending the time searching for them when out and about. At the end of the day, you’ll probably walk past 20 trees trying to hunt one Hootcrates, so what’s the point?

Use a Crusher

The third and final option is to use a Crusher to make Fiber. Unlocked a Level Eight by using two Technology Points, you can place wood into this machine, which will crush it down into Fiber. Please don’t ask me how the machine actually works, because I have no idea.

It is very handy though once you start building up your base, and makes life a little bit easier if you have a ton of wood lying around and don’t know what to do with it.

What is Fiber used for in Palworld?

Fiber is used in a host of recipes, so you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of it lying around for whenever you need it.

Things you can craft using Fiber includes:

  • Repair kits
  • Necklaces
  • Feed bags
  • Saddles
  • Gliders
  • Spheres
  • Beds
  • Workbenches
  • Furniture

Clearly, there are a lot of items you can make with Fiber, so skimping out on it simply isn’t an option. The good news is at least you now know the easiest ways to get it.
