As a two-cost Chemtech Challenger, Warwick’s Eternal Hunger makes him one of the premier low-cost carry champions in Teamfight Tactics set 6.5, Neon Nights. Through a mix of analysis by Upcomer’s TFT expert and data from API sites like Metatft.com, this Warwick TFT guide goes over his best items, comps and positioning.
Item Build
Warwick thrives when he is rocking a specific item build that takes the following under consideration.
Because his Eternal Hunger ability does bonus magic damage, Statikk Shiv is an incredible item on him. Not only will he be able to proc it quickly thanks to the attack speed buff he gets as a Challenger champion, Shiv also shreds magic resist, making his ability even more potent.
On top of that, Guinsoo’s Rageblade is also recommended since the more he attacks, the more he healing and damage he does with his ability.
For the third slot, players can either build Quicksilver, which makes him immune to crowd control from problem tank champions, or they can go Titan’s Resolve, which gives him a mix of more damage and tank stats.
As for the other items on the tier list, they are ok in a pinch — especially if players have a secondary carry alongside Warwick.
Positioning
Warwick is a melee damage dealer, so he is going to have to be on or very near the front line. Since his ability is loaded with healing, it is ok to put him in the front row, as he can sustain himself well, especially if players have the Chemtech trait active. If players are afraid of Warwick dying too fast, putting him in the second row can draw aggro away from him and allow him to pop off safely in a fight.
Top Comp
The best comp for a Warwick carry is one focused around Chemtech and Challengers. In this composition, Warwick teams up with Tryndamere to provide an incredible one-two punch. This comp best utilizes Warwick’s ability by maximizing attack speed, which is needed to effectively heal him while dealing the most amount of damage.
