Orianna has arrived in Teamfight Tactics set 6.5. In TFT: Neon Nights. Orianna is a four-cost Clockwork Enchanter and her Command: Shockwave makes her one of the premier utility champions in the entire game. Through a mix of analysis by Upcomer’s TFT expert and data from API sites like Metatft.com, Upcomer has brought players an Orianna TFT guide that goes over what the best Orianna items, comps and positioning looks like.
Item Build
In the current metagame, Orianna isn’t really used as the primary carry or even a secondary carry. She is mainly used for her traits and synergies alongside her very powerful CC ability. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t excel in the carry role. However, players should plan on using her as the utility item holder. The aura items are fantastic on her as she benefits from all of them. If building her as a carry, look to give her a Spear of Shojin and a Morello’s as her large AoE is great for those items.
Positioning
Orianna will primarily be in a backline. That’s because the aura items will want to be applied to the backline carry champions like Jhin and Sivir. She also has insane range too so putting her anywhere else is not optimal.
Top Comp
The best comp Orianna is currently playable in is the classic Innovator composition. As the perfect complement to the Innovator Clockwork champion, Zilean, Orianna slots in well as the missing piece. This is the best comp for Orianna as she can be used as a utility or as a carry. This comp has a lot of attack damage threats with Senna, Jayce and even Ezreal but only really has one magic damage threat with Seraphine. That’s where Orianna can shine. In this comp typically Senna will be the main carry with Vi being the main tank. If players hit Jayce early then Jayce can take either the tank or ad carry role.
