Baldur’s Gate 3: Can you romance Minsc in BG3?

For the most part, you will meet all of the recruitable companions in the first two acts of Baldur’s Gate 3. This is where the story really starts picking up and you should be getting your party composition all set by the time Act 3 rolls around. However, then the game throws Minsc at you, a character that you only meet in Act 3 and can become a companion if you make the right choices.

If you choose correctly, then Minsc will join your camp and many players might try to romance him from this point on in BG3.

Of course, just because you want to romance a character, doesn’t mean that the game will let you have that opportunity. There are a select few characters in BG3 that do not allow for any romancing, which includes Minsc’s friend and mentor, Jaheira.

Can you romance Minsc in BG3?

Unfortunately, there is no chance of a romance with Minsc in BG3. This is likely due to the fact that you meet the character so late in the game, so there isn’t too much opportunity to get to know him and develop a closer relationship. There’s also the matter of his pet hamster, Boo, who might not approve of any romantic relationship.

The best option you have with Minsc is to add him to your party in BG3 and then talk to him whenever you get the chance. He doesn’t have a major questline like the other companions, though, so you will have to make do with some small lines of dialogue here and there.
