Astralis Group partners with GLHF for media and content

Astralis Group has announced a partnership with esports competition platform GLHF. While it is the group behind esports organizations like Astralis, Origen, and Future FC, this partnership will not include sponsorship placements on jerseys. Instead, it will only include “media and content deliverables.”

Astralis Group partnership

“We’re entering a commercial partnership with GLHF based solely upon our media activities, which is in line with our strategy around developing and growing our business as an esports media company,” said Jakob Lund Kristensen, co-Founder and CCO of Astralis Group, in a release.

“GLHF is a new esports audience competition platform where fans can compete with other fans on behalf of their favorite team. Besides the strictly commercial aspect, it’s a partnership that will enable us to further strengthen our team brands through engaging new media solutions for a growing number of fans around the globe.”

GLHF is an esports competition platform that allows users to watch streamers, predict matches, and complete esports trivia, along with redeeming platform points for rewards and in-game cosmetics. It covers titles like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Overwatch. It was created as a joint venture between William Hill and Gaming Zone.

GLHF media, content deliverables

“Our ultimate goal is to introduce a digital esports platform that serves all fan needs and provides a new and scalable revenue channel to the teams,” said Niklas Grawé, CEO of GLHF. “Whether it’s live games, behind-the-scenes content, player insights or tickets for the biggest events, we aim to be the go-to platform.”

While this idea has been seen before on platforms like Sliver, GLHF claims that their website is entirely free to use. There is no deposit feature for users to spend hard currency, with all aspects accessible using the free platform points. Users can earn these points through watching streams, completing challenges, and more.

No further information has been disclosed on the exact details about what types of content deliverables are included. GLHF will be relaunched in March of 2020 to include behind-the-scenes content, along with tickets for sale for esports events.
