Among Us, InnerSloth’s social deduction game, has been dominating Twitch and YouTube with its addictive and backstabbing gameplay. Launching back in 2018, Among Us has grown to be a streaming powerhouse, taking the number six slot on most popular games on Twitch, according to Twitchtracker. Since the previously announced sequel Among Us 2 is cancelled, InnerSloth has been diverting their planned work to the original. Now players are getting their first look at the latest stage.

The recently verified Twitter teased a new level with a screenshot of what the new space station imposters and crewmen will have to explore. It appears to be a navigation center of some type, with a couple of stations for tasks. There’s even a vent dead center in the map to allow imposters to make a quick get-a-way.
A Newgrounds throwback in the latest Among Us map
The teased stage might look familiar to fans of another InnerSloth title, Henry Stickmin. The homage to the Newgrounds classic is a cute addition to Among Us. Sharp-eyed players should keep their eyes open for more little tidbits from InnerSloth as the rest of the stage is revealed. The map has been revealed to be larger than the Polus map and will be free to all players once it releases.
InnerSloth teased that fans should tune in to The Game Awards on December 10 for more information. Players will likely get a full view of the map, some quick peeks at new tasks, and possibly some new tactics Imposters can use to betray their friends. Among Us is up for several awards this year at The Game Awards, including Best Mobile Game and Best Multiplayer.
A recent patch to Among Us added several new features, including settings that change how the taskbar updates in-game. Other updates include updates to accessibility by adding symbols to the wiring task and colorblind support. InnerSloth is also working on user accounts in future updates. Players would then be able to report and ban accounts that are toxic or hacking the game. While InnerSloth does not have an official roadmap for the future of Among Us, they are working on prioritizing the tasks they deem most important.
