All ores and their locations in Once Human

There are several types of ores to be found in Once Human, and when you’re trying to get to the next weapon and armor tier, you’ll need to know where to look. In this post, we’ll look at all the ores you’ll need throughout the course of your time in the game.

Let’s start with the basics.

Copper and tin ore in Once Human

Copper and tin ore spawns pretty much everywhere. You’re likely to see it in the starting area, and to give you an idea of what to look for, here’s what copper ore looks like in the game:

And here’s tin ore:

In order to make use of the ores, you’ll need to build a furnace and smelt the ore you find into ingots. You’ll then also need a gear or supplies bench to create usable stuff with your ingots. You’ll discover all of this through the journeys tab, which will teach you more about the game.

To access your journeys tab, hit J (default) on the keyboard.

Iron ore in Once Human

You can find your first iron ore in Once Human in the third area, Iron River, around Greywater Camp. Iron ore is fairly common here, and looks like this:

It also spawns in all later areas in the game.

However, there’s an easy way to get iron ore early on in the game. You can either take on the XXX quest you get from Lowe in XXX, and then gather thirty copper ore and get yourself a Digby Boy Deviation.

Stick this guy in your XXX and he’ll mine copper, tin and iron ore for you while you do other things. You can also get Digby Boys by mining ore, with a small drop chance. I’ve seen players with up to five of them active in their base at the same time!

Aluminium ore in Once Human

Aluminium Ore becomes available once you reach Chalk Peak and the Tall Grass Inn. It’s very common in the area and areas afterwards, and looks kind of like Tin Ore, but “bushier”, somehow.

Tungsten Ore in Once Human

You’ll need Tungsten ore to craft and calibrate your tier 5 weapons and armor, and you’ll need it for vehicles, too. It takes Acid to refine, and you’ll need a lot of Acid to make all of the Tungsten Ingots you need.

It’s a darker shade than tin, and is far spikier. It spawns in Red Sands and onwards, and looks like this:

And those are all the functional mining ores in Once Human. Silver ores spawn just about everywhere, and I’ve seen gold ore in Red Sands. But silver and gold ingots are mostly used for selling to merchants and making some Energy Links.
