In the Pokémon Presents live stream, it was revealed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are receiving a two part DLC expansion later this year known as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The two parts are titled Part I: The Teal Mask and Part II: The Indigo Disk. As shown during the reveal trailer, these two expansions will come with new stories and new Pokémon.
In Part I: The Teal Mask, you’ll be taken on a school trip to Kitakami, where the emphasis is a local festival. The story in Part II: The Indigo Disk will have the player become an exchange student at another academy known as Blueberry Academy.
The trailer for the new DLC focused primarily on the new Pokémon coming to the ninth generation, but many Pokémon from the past will return that weren’t originally available. Over the two-part DLC, over 230 Pokémon from previous generation will be added to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
New Pokémon revealed for the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk
Part I: The Teal Mask
- Ogerpon – A legendary Pokemon carrying a “fearsome” green mask.
- Okidogi
- Munkidori
- Fezandipiti
Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti are “beloved by the people of the [Kitakami] village as heroes that protected the land of Kitakami in the past, and stone statues were made in their likeness to express the people’s gratitude.” It’s unclear at this point if this new trio will share the “legendary” status along with Ogerpon.
Part II: The Indigo Disk
- Terapagos – A new legendary Pokémon resembling a tortoise bearing symbols seemingly corresponding to each of the 18 types.
