Alkirk Exploration Guide — Once Human

Alkirk is a quaint little town that’s obviously seen better days — I’m sure it used to be a real nice place. Enter from the West along the road if you’d like to follow this Alkirk Exploration guide from start to finish. Either way, let’s go over all the crate and loot locations.

On the western edge of the town is a small farm to the south, and a house to the north, just before you enter the town proper. The house at the farm contains a gear crate and a storage crate.

There’s also another storage crate inside the smaller building here.

The house on the other side of the road only has enemies and some materials, but nothing good.

As you enter the town, the first building on your right has a recipe on the counter inside. There’s also a storage crate here. A lot of the buildings in town have storage crates inside, so it’s worth exploring if you’re in need of materials.

The next building down the street and to your left (on the higher ground) will have a weapon crate on the roof.

Just below this building you’ll find three more buildings right next to the street below. Facing down from above, the building on your left will have a gear chest on the roof. You can get there by either jumping off from the cliff you’re on, or using the door at the first building to climb onto that roof, and then jump across.

Across the road from here and next to the supermarket there’s another gear chest hidden on the roof of a building.

Alkirk is a pretty big area, and there’s tons left to find – but nothing is all that hard to find. Except maybe the Mystical Chest.

Where is the Mystical Chest in Alkirk?

Across the road from the building with the gear crate in its roof is the supermarket. It’s in the roof of the supermarket that you’ll find the Mystical Chest. There’s no way to climb up, however. So you’ll have to go up onto the cliff behind the Supermarket and glide down.

To glide, jump off the cliff and then hit the space bar again.

Those are all the main things you can find in Alkirk, and our conquest of Iron River is almost complete. Just two more areas to go. Three, if you’re a completionist like me.
