Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! online simulator, Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, is about to drop a meta-impacting update on Monday, July 11 that will finally bring the highly anticipated Adventurer archetype into the game. The new update will bring a new selection pack featuring many new cards, a new structure deck as well as an update to the in-game banlist.

New Selection Pack: Wandering Travelers

The next card pool update is coming in the form of the new Selection Pack Wandering Travelers. Following the previous release of Refined Blades, the Wandering Travelers pack is set to finish up the releases from the physical card game sets Burst of Destiny and The Grand Creators. Some of the key cards in those sets that will be coming out in this new selection pack include the introduction of the most polarizing archetype in the physical game today; the Adventurer engine. This archetype utilizes cards that pair alongside the “Adventurer Token” that gives players access to powerful effects. The effects are so powerful that the new update will preemptively be putting some of these cards on the ban list; Right of Aramesir and Water Enchantress of the Temple have already been semi-limited to two copies per deck.

Other notable cards include the likes of Evil Twin’s Trouble Sunny which makes the Live Twin archetype significantly better. And of course, Wandering Travelers brings in the most infamous archetype from the physical game, Floowandereeze. The deck is the strongest control deck in the modern game which has divided the player base. These powerful cards will be available for pickup from this pack or the card crafting system.

New Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Structure Deck: Dragonmaid to Order

This new deck doesn’t bring along any new cards, but gives players an easier way to grab powerful, meta-relevant deck. The Dragonmaid archetype is a fan favorite that uses the battle phase to change in and out of powerful Fusion monsters. Notable cards in this structure deck include Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres and Dragonmaid Sheou in the UR rarity.
