Marksman Rifles are in a class of their own in Call of Duty: Warzone. While the weapons often compared to snipers, it technically doesn’t fall into the same category. Players still use Marksman Rifles the same way but, as they’re in a different class, they need to be separated from snipers.
That said, determining the best Marksman Rifle is similar to figuring out the best sniper. The weapon needs to be deadly at long-range but proficient enough at close to medium-range as well. In Season 3 of Warzone, the choice comes down to a couple of weapons, with the ever-popular Kar98k clearly leading the way.
Best Marksman Rifle in Warzone
Since the beginning of Warzone in March of 2020, the Kar98k has been one of the more popular sniper choices. At one point, it was a better choice for sniping than actual snipers like the HDR and AX-50. It’s since been taken down a notch but that hasn’t diminished its overall effectiveness too drastically.
The Kar98k features some of the best handling for a sniper-like weapon in Warzone. The only weapon that might beat it in this area is the Swiss K31; a standard sniper rifle. Along with its superior in-class handling, the Kar98k deals a significant amount of damage for a Marksman Rifle and features terrific range and accuracy in Warzone.
The Kar98k is a quickscoper’s dream with its quick handling and mobility. Additionally, it can also be used as a long-range sniper at the same time. The recommended loadout for the Kar98k reflects its flexibility and has become a staple in players’ 10 loadout spots.
While other Marksman Rifles can produce decent results, none can match the Kar98k in Season 3 of Warzone.
