One of the major parts of the Season 1 Reloaded update in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and DMZ was the addition of Building 21. This brand new location was described as one of the deadlier parts of DMZ. It’s a separate location from Al Mazrah and it features its own loot, bosses, and exploration in DMZ. However, since its arrival in December, players have been confused as to how to access Building 21.

At first, Building 21 wasn’t even accessible in DMZ following the Season 1 Reloaded update. Infinity Ward decided to secretly launch Building 21’s access at random points during the month of December. This meant players had to wait for the developers to make it accessible before they could enter the mysterious location.

Now, however, Building 21 is a separate drop in DMZ that players can access whenever they want, provided they have the right key. We’ll explain more in-depth in the guide below.

Before you can even think about heading to Building 21 in DMZ, you need to find a Building 21 Access Card. These cards can be found in Supply Drops or Orange Supply Boxes around the map of Al Mazrah. You can also acquire by killing a Commander in DMZ or simply getting lucky and finding one in a dead enemy’s body bag.

Once you manage to find an access card, exfil out of your current match. Back at the main lobby, you’ll be able to select Building 21 as a drop location. This will spawn you in a random spot in Building 21, and you’ll only be able to explore that location. Al Mazrah is not accessible when you drop at Building 21, and vice versa.

There is a plethora of rewards and other content available in Building 21, including exclusive cosmetics and a blueprint for the Chimera assault rifle. If you want to keep going back to Building 21 to earn all of these rewards, you’ll need to keep acquiring Building 21 Access Cards in Al Mazrah.
