Quick Balls have the unique effect of being more likely to catch the wild Pokémon it is thrown at if it’s at the start of the battle. This makes catching Pokémon in bulk much easier and less frustrating as it saves a ton of time. Quick Balls are definitely a fan favorite and are a must for any player trying to complete the Pokédex.

There is good news and bad news when it comes to Quick Balls in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The bad news is that for the first half of the game, players will not be able to obtain Quick Balls almost anywhere. They will not show up at any shop and there are no set locations where they appear. Players could possibly obtain them through the random golden specs on the ground but since those are random, the chances of getting a Quick Ball out of them are pretty low.

But the good news is that when a player progresses to a certain point in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, not only do they become available for purchase, but they become available for purchase almost anywhere at any time. The Pokémart essentially scales with player progression which is why at the start of the game only a few items are available for purchase but as the game goes on, a lot more items show up in the shop.

After defeating six gym leaders, Quick Balls will appear in shops across the Paldea region, even including the special Delibird shops in certain towns. Quick Balls will run players 1,000 Pokédollars each but that is a small price to pay for one of the best catching tools in the game.
