Where to buy Mints in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Add mints to your food collection

There are a variety of factors to consider when you catch a Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. To some players, all they need is the Pokémon itself, and they’re perfectly fine with adding it to their party and leveling it up to defeat the main story.

However, more advanced trainers will know that there are additional factors that weigh heavily on the decision to use a certain Pokémon or not. One of those factors is a Pokémon’s Nature, which is randomly assigned to every Pokémon and affects one of its stats. If you’ve caught a particular Pokémon but don’t like its designated Nature, you might think you need to try and catch it again.

However, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’re able to change a Pokémon’s Nature if you know where to buy Mints.

Mints are a new item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that allow you to alter a Pokémon’s stats by changing its Nature. The Mints are named after their Nature — and after you give one to a Pokémon, its Nature will change to whatever named Mint you gave it. If you’re looking to change some of your Pokémon’s Natures, then you’ll need to know where to find and buy Mints in Scarlet and Violet.

Before you think about buying Mints, there’s actually a way to get them for free. This is through Tera Raids, which rewards you with a select number of random Mints after winning the raid. You can take on Tera Raids by interacting with the sparkling crystal structures out in the wild. Defeat the Tera Pokémon in the raid, and you’ll see your rewards pop up on screen. You can also find random Mints through picking up sparkling objects on the ground.

However, if you want to buy a specific Mint, you can do so at Chansey Supply Stores. These stores are in the following cities:

  • Mesagoza
  • Levincia
  • Cascarrafa
  • Montenevera

Each Mint will cost 20,000 Poké Dollars, so spend your money wisely. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase Mints from the Supply Stores until after you’ve defeated six Gyms. Once that happens, you can head into the store and purchase any of the game’s Mints.

There are 21 Mints in total in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. All of them increase one stat but decrease another, so use them accordingly for each of your Pokémon.
