Back in January, the Pokémon Company announced the first-ever Expansion Pass for a Pokémon game. The Expansion Pass would include two separate expansions for Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. The Isle of Armor came out in June and we still don’t have a date for The Crown Tundra. That may change tomorrow.
Today, the Pokémon Company revealed that they are revealing new information about The Crown Tundra tomorrow at 6:00 AM PT. This should include a new trailer along with an official release date.
What we already know about The Crown Tundra
We already have a decent idea of what to expect in the new expansion. We have seen footage of the new isle along with several of the new Pokémon and characters in previous trailers and videos. Here’s what we already know.
New Pokémon
The most exciting part of every new Pokémon adventure is the new Pokémon. There will be getting some new legendary Pokémon in The Crown Tundra. We will get Galarian forms for each of the original Kanto legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. We also know we will be getting two new Regi Pokémon to go along with Regice, Regirock, and Registeel.
A new island with new adventures
The Crown Tundra takes place on a new island. Just like The Isle of Armor, players will travel to an all-new island with new and returning Pokémon, new characters, and new quests. The island is, as you might expect from the name, on a tundra. There are plenty of temples and areas to explore, along with more raid dens. Players will meet Peony when they arrive on the island, who seeks to explore the temples.
Make sure to check out the reveal tomorrow and stay tuned for more Pokémon news. Let us know what you hope to see from the new expansion in the comments!
