Welcome to Showstopper, Upcomer’s weekly VALORANT talk show. This week, our hosts Yinsu Collins and Danny Appleford are joined by BIG Esports’ Fatih “gob b” Dayik to talk about his incredible career as an in-game-leader in both VALORANT and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
BIG had a tough year throughout 2021, failing to qualify for multiple major events internationally and in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This year, under the leadership of gob b, and with a fresh-faced roster, the German organization became the second team to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour.
Gob b spoke extensively about what he thinks the secrets to becoming the best IGL in the game are. He also revealed the other IGLs he respects in VALORANT and took a deeper dive into why he thinks the current BIG roster has found so much success this year. Gob b went on to share how the team prepares to tackle Season 1 of the VCT, which starts this month.
Speaking of VCT EMEA, the trio also ranked the 12 teams involved in Challengers Stage 1, and some picks might come as a surprise. Lastly, Gob b shed some light on his personal interests and hobbies, including what he think the greatest anime is.
