Riot Games’ Valorant esports arm announced Tuesday that Nerd Street Gamers will be the official tournament operator and producer for the Valorant Champions Tour.
The organization will be in charge of operating and producing Challengers events until March and then the Master tournaments in March. After this, Riot will have to make a choice for who will lead operations and production in the future.
Nerd Street Gamers and Valorant
The Valorant Champions Tour, beginning this month on Jan. 27, is Riot’s next big esports endeavor. The tournament will take place over the course of the year in regional and international phases. Nerd Street Gamers will work to ensure the best viewer experience possible.
The organization has a lot of experience working with Valorant. They have been hosting and supporting the game since it came out in early June. They have experience operating and producing with Riot’s First Strike: North America Ignition Series tournament and the all-women For the Women tournament.
Nerd Street Gamers has also operated and produced their own series of tournaments. They had monthly tournaments along with a Winter tournament. They should be an adequate partner for Riot in bringing fans quality content.
We’re doing good. Let’s do better, just for fun 🕵️♂️

Riot Games’ efforts to provide opportunities for all gamers aligns with our own mission and further expands the esports landscape,” said John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers. Surely, this opportunity will boost their standing with Riot and Valorant.
Fans interested in watching the Valorant Champions Tour qualifiers can do so through Nerd Street Gamers’ official Twitch channel. The event begins on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. ET. These are open qualifiers that players can register and compete in.
