Valorant First Strike North America begins Thursday

If you’re ready for Valorant esports to come to North America, you don’t have to wait much longer. Valorant First Strike: North America begins this Thursday on December 3.

The First Strike tournament will consist of the region’s top teams. They will duke it out for part of a $100,000 prize pool along with the title of North America’s first-ever Valorant champion. Here’s everything we know about the event.

The teams and schedule

The First Strike: North America tournament features eight teams. These teams made it through qualifying tournaments to get their seeding and position in the First Strike tournament.

  • Team Envy
  • Renegades
  • Immortals
  • TSM
  • 100 Thieves
  • Sentinels
  • T1
  • FaZe Clan

The tournament starts on Thursday at 1:00 PM PT with Team Envy taking on the Immortals. Renegades vs TSM follows that. Friday will feature 100 Thieves vs. T1 and then Sentinels vs. FaZe Clan. The tournament is single-elimination, with the winner of Team Envy vs Immortals playing against the winner of 100 Thieves vs T1 and the winner of Renegades vs TSM playing against the winner of Sentinels vs. FaZe Clan.

Valorant First Strike North America

The Grand Final will be a best-of-five match between the two teams that advance on Sunday starting at 1:00 PM PT.

The talent team

The Valorant First Strike: North America tournament will have several notable names casting. James “Dash” Dash will host the tournament. Dash is known for hosting the North American LCS events for League of Legends. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Ali “Myth” Kabbani will be exclusive co-streamers for the tournament. Recording Artist Jordan Fisher will also be a special guest.

Daniel “DDK” Kapadia, Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Rivington “Riv” Bisland III, Sean Gares, Alex “Vansilli” Nguyen, and Loviel “Velly” Cardwell will be casting and analyzing the tournament.
