Valorant fans are upset about how the Night Market works

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The Night Market in Valorant gives players an opportunity at a discount for weapon skins. Unfortunately, many players didn’t get any good offers in their selection, and there’s no way to change it. Here are why some fans are upset with the Night Market, and what they think should change in the future.

The Valorant Night Market doesn’t refresh

The big issue with the Night Market is that it doesn’t refresh. This means that players only get six skins at a discount. With over 130 weapon skins in Valorant so far, the odds of getting a specific one aren’t good.

Some players thought that the Night Market would refresh every day. This seems like a reasonable theory, as this is how the standard store works. Different skins rotate in and out on a 24-hour cycle.

Unfortunately, there is no way to change the shop. This is similar to how the “Your Shop” works in Riot’s other popular game, League of Legends. In League, however, discounted skins are selected based on which Champions the player plays a lot. There doesn’t seem to be any such Algorithm in Valorant.

Adding some form of a refresh for the Night Market seems to be the obvious solution. Whether it’s a daily refresh like the standard store or a manual refresh for players who aren’t happy with their selection, it would help increase the odds of getting specific skins.

Riot has already stated that there won’t be any changes this time around, but when the Night Market returns to Valorant in the future, they will consider making changes according to feedback. So, hopefully, they find a way to make everyone happy.

Did you get any skins you wanted from the Night Market? Or do you think they should make changes to it in the future? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
