Upcomer’s guide to TFT Set 6.5, Neon Nights

The mid-set expansion for Teamfight Tactics: Gizmos & Gadgets has finally been revealed. TFT set 6.5, TFT: Neon Nights, is the biggest mid-set expansion in the history of the game. New traits, new champions, new augments and new cosmetics headline all the crazy fun content coming to TFT in Patch 12.4.

Champions

TFT: Neon Nights features the biggest roster swap in the history of the game. With over 20 champions being removed and over 20 being implemented into the game, players will be saying goodbye to some of their favorites, but they will be welcoming some of old friends and even a couple of new ones. Silco from “Arcane” makes his Riot Games debut in Set 6.5 but so does the unreleased new diabolical support champion, Renata Glasc.

Traits

• Debonair, Hextech and Striker power-up TFT champions

Of course with the addition of new champions come new traits. In TFT: Neon Nights players will no longer see Academy, Imperial and Protector traits in the game. Instead players will say hello to Hextech, Debonair and Striker. Hextech is the new big vertical synergy providing shielding and bonus on-hit damage. While Debonair brings back the Chosen mechanic from TFT: Fates with a twist.

Augments

The core mechanic for the TFT: Gizmos & Gadgets expansion has been a massive hit. Hextech Augments have greatly increased replayability. The game launch with over 140 different augments which have made each game feel different than the last. In TFT: Neon Nights, Riot Games is bringing in an additional 80 new augments for players to enjoy.

Cosmetics

• Battle pass, little legends and more

It wouldn’t be a mid-set expansion without a ton of new cosmetic options for TFT players. TFT Neon Nights introduces a brand-new mythic rarity little legend, PROJECT: Abyssia who will be available in eggs on release. On top of that are the new Progress Day little legends featuring fan-favorites QiQi, Lightcharger and Fenroar each coming with five new designs. And finally there is the new battle pass which is botanical themed with a Socialite Nixie, Plant Buddy Sprite and for the first time ever, a premium arena inside the battle pass.
