Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on League

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has previously stated that she had played League of Legends throughout college. Her main champions are described to be Miss Fortune, Lux, and Morgana. While escaping what some call “Bronze Elo Hell” doesn’t seem too difficult, it is impressive to climb a division with her involvement in American politics, considering the schedule she has and the little free time. This achievement is a big jump from her previous rank at Bronze V.

In addition, Ocasio-Cortez exchanged words with fellow politician Jared Polis, who was elected Governor of Colorado on Nov. 6 of 2018. Polis is also publicly vocal about being a fan of League of Legends and gaming. AOC recently co-signed a bi-partisan letter alongside Mike Gallagher (R, WI) and Tom Malinowski (D, NJ) to Blizzard Entertainment about reversing its ban of Hearthstone professional player Chung “Blitzchung” Ng Wai.

Better than 15.37% of players

This news prompted reactions on a Reddit post. Some poked fun at the fact that they weren’t better than AOC at League of Legends, despite playing for several hours a day. Others brought up the fact that she posted on a personal Reddit account about printing flyers for Bernie Sanders just three years ago and is now a successful congresswoman herself.

Either way, this isn’t something you see every day. AOC has also now become better than 15.37% of all League of Legends players. What do you think about this? Let us know about your opinion, and keep up with Daily Esports for all of your League of Legends coverage.
