Toronto’s Call of Duty League just announced its schedule for the inaugural 2020 season. Toronto Ultra, the team owned by OverActive Media and representing the city, is scheduled to host the games on March 21-22 and July 18-19.
“There is tremendous energy around our team and our brand at the moment, and we are thrilled to announce the dates for our home games next season,” Chris Overholt, the president and CEO of OverActive Media, said. “Together, with our fans, we going to ensure Toronto a really tough place to play for the opposition.”
The Toronto Ultra roster consists of Danny “Loony” Loza, Anthony “Methodz” Zinni, Carson “Brack” Newberry, Alex “Lucky” López, Adrian “MettalZ” Serrano, Tobi “CleanX” Jønsson, Nick “Classic” DiCostanzo, Cammy “Cammy” McKilligan, Ben “Bance” Bance, and Mehran “Mayhem” Anjomshoa.
This roster was first unveiled last month at the Rebel Entertainment Complex, where 1,500 fans cheered for the home team, as well as music by Zach Zoya and Nav.
Some Call of Duty League teams are scheduled to visit the city next year as well. In March of next year, Atlanta FaZe, New York Subliners, Paris Legion, Optic Gaming Los Angeles, and London Royal Ravens will set foot in Toronto for the series.
In July 2020, the second home series will involve the Minnesota Rokkr, London Royal Ravens, Chicago Huntsmen, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Seattle Surge, and New York Subliners.
As for the venue, OverActive media will be announcing it later this month. Toronto Ultra fans who cannot wait for the announcement can visit torontoultra.gg, where they will be able to sign up for first access tickets.
In addition to Toronto Ultra, 11 other Call of Duty League teams will compete against each other in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare next year. Players will duke it out for the Call of Duty League Championship in five-versus-five matchups.
