Call of Duty
There are nearly 40 weapons in Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer and all have some use. Of course, some are just naturally better than others, leading to more players equipping them in-game. However, some players might not know which guns are stronger than their counterparts. Below, players can see the top five best weapons that are currently in Vanguard multiplayer.
The best sniper rifle in Vanguard is number five on the list. As with any sniper, the Kar98k doesn’t have as much all-around use in multiplayer but it can be serviceable at both close and long range. The Kar98k has tremendous mobility and damage range when equipped with the right set of attachments.
Its mobility is the reason it’s ahead of the other snipers. Players can opt for a quickscoping loadout but still one-shot kill enemies across the map. There’s no better sniper in Vanguard and there aren’t many better weapons overall.
The runner-up in the assault rifle class is the Automaton. While it’s not the best AR in Vanguard, it packs more of a punch than almost any other weapon available. Players who’ve used the Automaton know, however, that the gun’s accuracy is the real reason it’s so strong.
The Automaton has virtually no recoil with the right loadout and can cross-map enemies with absolute ease. It also possesses an extremely high fire rate that makes any gunfight winnable with the Automaton in hand.
3. Combat Shotgun
It’s weird seeing a shotgun in the top three best weapons in a Call of Duty title but here we are. The Combat Shotgun is arguably overpowered in Vanguard, as any player who’s hopped in the ‘Das Haus’ playlist will know. It has a tremendous one-shot kill potential and some lethal attachments that make it a nightmare to go up against.
It seems likely Sledgehammer Games will nerf the Combat Shotgun soon but, for now, it’s one of the best weapons in Vanguard.
Numer one and two on this list are nearly interchangeable but the MP40 comes in second. There’s not an SMG that comes close to matching the MP40’s mix of accuracy, mobility and damage range. Players won’t have to focus on aiming very much and can usually kill enemies in three to four bullets at any range.
If players don’t have the recommended loadout on, though, they will run into some damage issues with the MP40. For this reason, it’s the second best weapon in multiplayer.
There’s a reason why the STG44 fills up the killfeed in Vanguard lobbies. The best AR without question, the STG44 has virtually no weaknesses. It can outclass SMGs at close range and marksman rifles at long range with its top loadout. Players barely have to move their aim when firing but that’s not much of a concern anyway considering how quickly the STG44 puts down enemies. It’s the clear-cut best weapon in Vanguard so far thanks to its overwhelming power.
