So far in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, the meta has been pretty much set in stone. For the submachine gun glass, the PPSh-41, Armaguerra 43 and H4 Blixen remain at the top while the long-range meta is a little more complicated. While some players stand by assault rifles such as the STG44 or Automaton, the actual best long-range option is the UGM-8. It’s not often that a light machine gun eclipses an AR, but Season 5 is different from others. If players are looking to use another LMG besides the UGM-8, they should look no further than the Whitley and its best loadout in Warzone.
Since Season 5 is the last before Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 release, players have tended to use some off-meta weapons. After all, this current iteration of Warzone won’t really matter in just a few months’ time. So why shouldn’t players go a little off the beaten path and use an underrated option this season? While the Whitley isn’t nearly as strong as the UGM-8, it actually has a great time-to-kill and an overall terrific Warzone loadout.

Best Whitley loadout in Warzone
According to YouTuber WhosImmortal, who recently made a video about the Whitley, the Vanguard LMG has a TTK of 700ms at 59 meters. This is statistically better than ARs such as the Nikita AVT and AS VAL. WhosImmortal claims the Whitley can be a devastatingly strong weapon in Warzone, even though it does have its quirks.
- Muzzle: MX Silencer
- Barrel: 20″ Ragdoll RE2
- Optic: G16 2.5x
- Stock: CGC R4
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: .303 British 45 Round Mags
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
- Perk: Hardscope
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
The one interesting aspect of this loadout is the magazine size. For an LMG, the Whitley has a magazine on the lower side, being 45. This means that players should treat the Whitley more like a slower AR on the map. The rest of the loadout is all about reducing recoil and ensuring that the Whitley remains a strong long-range choice in Warzone Season 5.
