The Tempus Razorback was one of the weapons that arrived in the Season 4 Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It immediately became a fan-favorite weapon thanks to its balanced stats and that remains true in Season 5. Although, the Tempus Razorback has seen some updates to its stats over the course of the past two seasons, meaning you might want to update your loadout for the AR in MW2.
Sporting a bullpup design and 5.56 ammunition, the Tempus Razorback is a threat at both close and long ranges. It has a great fire rate for any close and personal gunfights while also featuring terrific recoil control and range. However, where it shines is at mid-range, allowing you to dominate other assault rifles and submachine guns. Still, the best version of the Tempus Razorback uses its strongest attachments so that you can take on a gunfight no matter the range.

Best Tempus Razorback loadout in MW2
We have decided to go with a relatively traditional loadout for the Tempus Razorback to start, as we need to wait and see which attachments benefit the gun the most. As such, we will update this article with any better loadout as Season 4 goes on.
- Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Barrel: 16″ Tankr-V
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
This loadout for the Razorback makes it even stronger at longer ranges. The FTAC Castle Comp and the 16″ Tankr-V allow you to have superior damage range and recoil while the FTAC Ripper 56 also increases your accuracy. The loadout is closed out with the basic Slimline Pro and the 45 Round Mag to ensure you can see clearly and don’t have to reload too often.
You can also read our previous guide for the best Tempus Razorback loadout in Warzone if you also want to experiment with it in battle royale.
As a final note, you can use the Tempus Razorback in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
