One of the most dominant weapons of Season 1 in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was the TAQ-V. While originally the TAQ-56 was seen as the better gun, many players eventually swapped their opinions after seeing just how powerful the TAQ-V could be in Warzone 2 with the right loadout. However, as these things go, the Season 2 weapon balancing update was not kind to the TAQ-V. The battle rifle saw a fairly significant nerf, leaving its status in the weapon meta up in the air.
The main target of the TAQ-V’s nerf was in its fully-auto mode. This is what made the TAQ-V a stronger version of the TAQ-56. The exact nerfs for the weapon in Season 2 are seen below:
- Decreased mid-range damage
- Increased semi-auto torso damage
- Reduced semi auto leg damage
- Decreased full auto head damage
- Decreased full auto head damage
- Reduced semi auto rate of fire
As players can see, the fully-auto nerfs are pretty drastic. While this won’t make the TAQ-V completely unusable, players might need to look into other long-range options in Season 2. For those that want to continue using the TAQ-V, we recommend equipping its best possible attachments in Warzone 2.
To see the full loadout for the TAQ-V in Warzone 2, keep reading below.
Best TAQ-V Loadout in Warzone 2 Season 2
- Barrel: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel
- Muzzle: Kastovia DX90
- Optic: XRX On-Point Optic
- Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
- Magazine: 50 Round Drum
This loadout is all about increasing damage range and recoil control. The first two attachments in the Kastovia DX90 and the 18″ Precision-6 Barrel accomplish those goals nicely. The Lockgrip-Precision 40 underbarrel also adds some recoil stability. The 50 Round Drum is a vital attachment that gives players all the bullets they need in a gunfight while the XRK On-Point Optic is a great long-range sight.
