The weapon balancing update in Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 hit many weapons extremely hard. From the TAQ-V to the Fennec 45 to the RPK, many of the game’s meta weapons were nerfed to make way for other guns to rise up. However, interestingly enough, one of Warzone 2’s most popular guns, the TAQ-56, was not touched, making its loadout a prime candidate to remain in the meta.
While the TAQ-56 could technically be defined as a meta gun, both the TAQ-V and RPK were considered better long-range options throughout Season 1. However, with both of those guns nerfed in Season 2, the TAQ-56 appears to be the logical next choice for the long-range meta in Warzone 2. Of course, if players want to take full advantage of the gun, they need to use its strongest set of attachments.
